Dues Increase
Beginning October 1, 2022 the WI-UM Kiwanis District Dues will increase by $10; from $33 to $43 dollars. The increase was necessary to keep providing a high level of service to our members and clubs. The last dues increase was back in 2017.
Kiwanis International also increased the insurance fee portion of the dues by $5. Please let me know if you have any questions about this change.
Reminders
Monthly reports
As we quickly approach the end of our fiscal year (September 30th) remember to complete your monthly reports
Update Officer list with Kiwanis International
Club secretaries remember to update this coming years officers before the 30th. If you don’t at least enter their new/continuing secretary you will be locked out of KI’s data base. It’s easier to get the info in now as opposed too later, less work.
Membership rosters
Remember to review your membership lists before the end of the month, you don’t want to be billed for members no longer active or deceased.
Governor Bill’s Goals
Governor Bill’s goals for the year:
- Member Retention
- Member Recruitment all year (Club Boost is a great way to do this)
- Open New Clubs – goal of 5
- Each club to start a new service project (small is good)
- Encourage clubs to start SLP ( Start new K-Kids/Builders Club/Key Club hopefully 1 per
division) - Raise $4000.00 each for Bay Cliff Health Camp which needs operating costs and Camp
Wawbeek needs water bottle dispensers. ($8000.00 goal is attainable )
Installations
It’s been a pleasure doing some of the installations of officers this year. If you would like me to assist your club in retiring and installing club officers just contact me.
Have a Great Year!!
As October 1st rolls around I want to wish all the clubs good luck as you approach this new Kiwanis year! It’s always exciting as a new year starts; it’s filled with fresh ideas, evaluating what we do and continuing to make our communities a better place!
